Purpose & Statement Of Faith

  • Purpose - - KSHE is a Christian organization serving homeschool families within the state of Kansas through education, edification, and encouragement.

  • Philosophy

    • We believe that parents are responsible for the education of their children.

    • We believe that the U.S. Constitution protects the divine right of parents to educate their children at home.

    • We operate from a Christian perspective and make decisions from the ethical and moral standards established in the Bible.

    • We believe families should be informed of homeschool laws at both the state and federal levels and make educational choices for their children that reflect the needs and values of their own family.

  • Statement of Faith

    • We believe the Bible is the only authoritative, inspired, inerrant and infallible Word of God and is complete in its 66 books in the Old and New Testaments.

    • We believe God has existed for all eternity in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

    • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ is God incarnate.

    • We believe all have sinned, and only Jesus Christ is able to and has paid the penalty for sin through His substitutionary death on the cross. He then triumphed over death by His visible, bodily resurrection.

    • We believe salvation is offered as a free gift to the sinner. This gift must be accepted by faith, not trusting in any personal work but in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ.

    • We believe that it is important that anyone employed by our organization, who serve as volunteers, or who represent the organization, conduct themselves in accordance with this Statement of Faith. (Matthew 5:16; Philippians 2:14-16; 1 Thessalonians 5:22.)

    • We believe God is the creator of every human life and it must be respected and protected from conception to natural death. (Psalm 139.)

    • We believe that God creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. (Genesis 1:26-27.)

    • We believe the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. (Genesis 2:18-25.)

    • We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity. (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31.)
