Since 1994 Kansas Home Educators has proudly sponsored a high school graduation ceremony for homeschool families. This is a memorable day for graduates, family & friends. The ceremony is a formal, traditional, & God-honoring event with distinctly Christian elements.

Much of the preparation for KSHE graduation ceremony is accomplished through committees. Each family is required to participate on one of the support teams. Assignments for most support teams are made by mid-February.

Graduation registration begins December 1st! All registrations must be made by February 1st.

Costs

Participation fee (mandatory) — $235.00 ($215 for current KSHE members). The participation fee includes digital copies of all ceremony photos, and photo of the graduate with parents after the diploma presentation, and all videos used during the ceremony.

Graduate Photos Used For Ceremony

As part of the graduation ceremony, you will provide:
Student and teacher photo
Senior photo (head and shoulders)
Senior photo (casual)
3 high school activity photos

Diplomas

A high school diploma for your student is needed for the diploma presentation portion of the graduation ceremony. You can create or purchase one. Diplomas and covers can be purchased from Jostens and HSLDA (hslda.org) in addition to other online sources. Cap and Gown

Graduation cap and gown are required to participate in the KSHE graduation. All graduation participants must wear a solid color cap and gown. No patterns are allowed. An honor cord or sash may be worn if the graduate’s grades are appropriate for recognition. The cap can be a different color than the gown.
